The idiom of this (either) lazy or imaginative traveller is an ongoing part of my research, and a point of departure for examining littoral geographies and spaces of in-between.

Bringing the 'outside-in' (all the while imagining elsewhere) is an amorphous position that links back to the process of thinking through making.

It was hard to clean the walls and start the process again, because of the expense, but also because during the months I was attempting to make this work, all the household furniture was stacked in the bedroom so the kitchen and living room could remain set up as a darkroom.

When I eventually completed making Mangrove Wall, I was completely overwhelmed by a need to engage with it - touch it, dance with it etc. It came down to that I could not put my furniture back into the space until I had worked with the wall in a series of constructs, using various studio objects and my body.
